NANO Magazine – Carbon Nanomaterials for Transport
The NANO Magazine is the magazine to go to for the latest updates on breakthroughs in the application of nanotechnology. With regular interviews, country profiles, and articles on topics ranging from nanomedicine, to nanofood, to construction and many more, NANO Magazine lets you see the true impact the nano world is having on the real world.
In the June 2010 issue of the NANO Magazine Dr Bojan Boskovic from the Cambridge Nanomaterials Technology Ltd has published an invited article Carbon Nanomaterials in Transport. In this article Dr Bojan Boskovic explored the remarkable properties and fascinating applications of carbon nanotubes in aerospace and automotive industry. Carbon nanotubes when used as additives in traditional engineering materials can provide in situ “health” monitoring or aircraft or car structural components, provide weight reduction without compromising on toughness and the conductivity or carbon nanotubes can provide de-icing and lightning strike protection.
